Terms of Service

In short

  • Tripdox helps you plan trips. It does not sell tickets or make bookings on your behalf — always verify prices and availability before you pay.
  • AI output can be wrong. Check every detail that matters (visas, flight numbers, dates, prices) before you rely on it.
  • You keep ownership of your trip data and uploaded files. We only use them to run the service for you.
  • Don’t abuse the service — no scraping, resale, or automated flooding.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, installing the Tripdox app, or using tripdox.com, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. If you’re using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. What Tripdox is

Tripdox is a travel-planning tool. It uses AI and third-party data sources to help you sketch out multi-city trips, compare flights and trains, pick hotels, optimise routes, and build day-by-day itineraries. It is not a travel agent, a ticket reseller, or a booking platform. We surface information and links; you complete any actual bookings directly with airlines, railways, hotels, or their authorised retailers.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account.
  • You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One person per account. Don’t share accounts or resell access.

4. AI-generated content — use with care

Itineraries, city suggestions, activity ideas, booking extractions, and cost estimates are produced in part by large language models and scraped third-party data. They can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. Common failure modes include:

  • Flight or train prices that have changed since search.
  • Hotel availability that is stale by the time you book.
  • Visa, entry, or vaccination requirements that have changed.
  • Misread fields when extracting bookings from scanned PDFs.

Always verify the information that matters — dates, times, prices, confirmation numbers, visa rules — with the official source before committing money or making travel decisions. You use AI output at your own risk.

5. Your content

“Your content” means anything you enter into or upload to Tripdox — trip names, destinations, booking PDFs, photos, notes, support messages, and so on.

  • You keep ownership of your content.
  • You grant us a limited licence to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the service for you (for example: extracting text from an uploaded PDF, syncing your trip between devices, or showing it on a shared trip URL you create).
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content (for example, that a booking PDF belongs to you).
  • Shared trip links are unlisted but not secret — don’t put truly sensitive data in a trip you plan to share.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the service beyond what a normal user would do.
  • Resell, repackage, or redistribute data from the service.
  • Upload malware, illegal content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Try to reverse-engineer, probe for security vulnerabilities, or circumvent rate limits or quotas.
  • Use the service to harass, defraud, or deceive others.
  • Abuse the AI prompts to generate content that violates our AI providers’ usage policies (hate speech, sexual content involving minors, content promoting violence, etc.).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

7. Fees

The service is currently offered free of charge during an early access period. We may introduce paid plans or features in the future; if we do, we’ll tell you in advance and you can decide whether to continue using those features.

8. Third-party services

Tripdox relies on third-party services (search providers, AI model providers, mapping services, payment rails if applicable). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We don’t control them, and we’re not responsible for their content, availability, or pricing.

9. Service changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We try to provide reasonable notice for changes that materially affect you, but we may not always be able to. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prices and information shown will be accurate.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripdox disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. You accept the service “as is.”

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripdox and its operators, affiliates, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Tripdox harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by a third party and arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we need to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, India, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
